Texas College Access Network (TxCAN) North Texas Convening

Educate Texas hosted the Texas College Access Network (TxCAN) North Texas convening to establish a sustainable network of agencies and organizations working collaboratively to increase student access and success in postsecondary education.  The TxCAN North Texas pilot includes Dallas ISD, Lancaster ISD, Richardson ISD and Uplift Education, along with key stakeholders such as IHEs, service providers, and community organizations who are committed to improving college access opportunities. 

January’s convening included updates from the North Texas TxCAN Committees, a panel of financial aid experts, and a preview of the North Texas College Access Asset Map.

The Texas High School Project hosted the Texas College Access Network (TxCAN) North Texas Pilot kick-off meeting and workgroup session to discuss the key goals for the North Texas pilot and to serve as the first networking opportunity for TxCAN participants.  The TxCAN North Texas Pilot includes Dallas ISD, Lancaster ISD, Richardson ISD and Uplift Education, along with key stakeholders such as IHEs, service providers, and community organizations who are committed to improving college access opportunities.
