Article: New Tech High Opens in Abilene
| The Abilene Independent School District will open New Tech High School in August 2009. The school will begin with approximately 100 ninth grade students chosen by lottery from current 8th grade students in Abilene ISD and area schools. |
 | The new T-STEM Academy will incorporate the Project-Based Learning model of the New Technology Foundation and the T-STEM initiative.
