We believe that the design principles of Personalization, Adult World Connection, and Common Intellectual Mission should permeate every aspect of life at E-STEM through:
• small size of the school;
• openness of the facilities for collaboration;
• personalization through advisory;
• integrated, project-based learning and student exhibitions;
• students internships in the community, and;
• ample planning time for teacher teams during the work day.
Highlights
One of the highlights is the 1:1 Laptop Initiative where every student has a laptop to support their learning in the classroom and at home. Every classroom is equipped with interactive Smart Boards connected to the internet and enhance teaching and learning. ANother specialty area is the STEM-ulation project which connects arts and cultural activities through STEM related field-based experiences.
