 | Overview & Mission: Harmony School of Science is a Pre-K thru 12, model school in Houston, TX. In 2008, Texas Education Agency granted a charter school and the new campus joined Harmony Schools. Harmony School of Science is a tuition-free college prep school opened by Cosmos Foundation. Harmony School of Science emphasizes five elements to ensure a successful learning experience.

The Harmony School of Science in SW Houston currently serves students in grades six through eight. Program Design As a stand alone campus, HSA utilizes a seven period day to deliver instruction to the students. Vertical alignment is strong due to the small size of the campus. Curriculum and Instruction Due to the grade levels currently served all instruction is driven by the middle school curriculum. Engineering is provided to the students through the Project Lead the Way curriculum. Students have access to two computer labs with various programs loaded for their use. Student Supports A fifteen minute advisory period daily facilitated by classroom teachers helps to reinforce the positive school culture and pursuit of academic success. Students have the opportunity to participate in various activities including robotics. Academically, supports are provided based on individual student results on benchmarks and mock tests scheduled throughout the year. |
