Welcome to the Texas High School Project
Helping Texas Students Achieve Successful Futures
The Texas High School Project (THSP) is a unique organization that brings together, partners with, and aligns the work of influential public and private groups committed to improving education in our state. By working directly with state agencies, superintendents and school districts, state and national philanthropy groups, business and civil rights groups, and our corporate partners, THSP shares and scales what's working in the areas of campus learning systems, teacher effectiveness and education leadership. Our work promotes postsecondary access, success and completion for all students - with a focus on first-generation, low income students who represent the economic future of Texas.

THSP is a unique public-private alliance dedicated to significantly improving the postsecondary readiness of low-income students with a focus on students in low-performing schools.

THSP develops practical insights and proven solutions that can be scaled in schools and districts throughout Texas based on our evidence and data analysis across the transition from middle school (8-9) through high school (9-12) and into postsecondary programs (four-year, two-year and technical programs).

Created in 2003, THSP’s public-private alliance includes: the Texas Education Agency; Office of the Governor; Texas Legislature; Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board; Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; Michael & Susan Dell Foundation; Communities Foundation of Texas; National Instruments; Greater Texas Foundation; and the Meadows Foundation.
